I have been working in independent k-12 schools for about 20 years after earning a PhD in English. I am currently the Academic Dean at the Waterford School in Sandy, Utah, where I also teach literature, writing, and philosophy. My school is a forward-looking institution that also values the best of tradition liberal arts education. The face-to-face encounter between teachers, students, and great writing is at the core of what I value. But I'm also deeply interested in finding ways to use technology effectively to enhance and extend the power of the educational experience at our school.
