Rob Evans is a clinical and organizational psychologist and the Executive Director of The Human Relations Service in Wellesley, Massachusetts. A former high school and pre-school teacher, and a former child and family therapist, Rob has worked with schools and families for thirty years. He has consulted to more than 1,400 schools across the country, working with teachers, administrators, boards and parents. Rob’s interests have focused on change and the resistance to it in schools and organizations, on the challenges of leading innovation, on improving collegial candor and on the changes in American families and their impact on schools. Rob received his undergraduate degree from Princeton and his doctorate from Harvard. He is the author of many articles and three books, The Human Side of School Change,Family Matters: How Schools Can Cope with the Crisis in Childrearing, andSeven Secrets of The Savvy School Leader: A Guide to Surviving and Thriving.
